Reeeeewind.

I haven't updated in forevah! We've had a fun household.
~Sick kids.
~Busy schedules.
~Sick kids.
~Sick kids.
~Sick kids...

And that pretty much sums it up.

THE END.

...

The other day, Brian came home from work and gave me the usual "Hey-hot-Mama-I-missed-you-hug." OK. OK. I added the last part for emotional uplifting. Anywho. I hugged him. Went back to my business. Which was probably somethin' along the lines of being a maid, chef, or referee ... I'm just sayin'...
Then I start to itch.
First on my neck.
Then arms.
Then tummy.
My face.
Eeeeep. It spread to my head.
I run to the bathroom for some Benadryl. Thinking the whole time, the day has come. Yup. I am allergic to my husband, and notice ... only children's Benadryl. Shoots. I can't take that ... that's just ghetto.

I took it. Ghetto's how I roll.

I take one last look at my itchies before I leave the bathroom, and that's when I notice ....

GRAY HAIR. Yeah. About 72 of them. Just popped up out of nowhere. *sigh* At that very moment I came to realize ... OK. I'm not allergic to Brian. Derr. That's just silly.

I'M. ALLERGIC. TO. GRAY. HAIR.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

10 Thought Thursday

1. I've been so busy lately, I have barely had a chance to think. Doesn't help that I have an ucky head cold right now, and everything seems foggy. For instance.
-I threw a whole box of medicine away.
-Put the milk in the cupboard.
-Ate a Swiss cake roll for breakfast ... OK OK. I would have done that anyway, just thought I should try and blame it on not thinking straight first.

2. Lynea is teething something fierce. Poor honey. We've tried everything under the blue moon and frozen orange slices seem to do the trick.

3. Speaking of Blue Moon. I haven't seen it yet. What. Is. Wrong. With. Me?!?

4. It's almost Valentines Day. Seems that as parents, we give up that holiday to the kids, once we have them. I don't know if it is because we are so busy with their Valentines treats, boxes and parties, that we forget about ourselves? ... OR if it is just something that dies out once you are married. ....
Brian USED to cook too ... Ahem. I rest my case.

5. Lynea is saying Mama now. It is for sure the sweetest thing to hear. ... .. ...
Unless you just need 1.5 minutes to go to the bathroom, you put her down, and she screams and cries Maaaaamaaa Maaaamaaa the whole time.
That is not the sweetest thing. No. Not so much.

6. I think tonight is going to be a leftover night. Yup. I just decided.

7. Do'oh. I just did my toenails and already scuffed the big toe.

8. I think I am going to paint my dining room next Friday. I really want a red wall.

9. BJ is STILL sleeping, people. It is 9:30!! I hope he's not getting sick.

10. I am sick of the snow. That's all.

The Big Bad Chipotle Burrito

Seeing as we do NOT have a Chipotle here. ((I know. I know. It should be illegal)) I decided to try and attempt them at home. Well ... they were a HUGE success. So, I decided to share the recipe. Anything that says Roasted Red Peppers ... Feel free to use any kind of pepper you would like. I just can't do spicy while nursing.

Chicken:
roasted red pepper to taste
1 tsp black pepper
2 tsp cumin powder
2 tbls oregano
6 whole garlics
1/2 red onion
1/2 cup of oil
4 chicken breast

Let chicken sit in marinade for an hour in fridge. Then pop in the slow cooker and cook for about 4 hours. Take out and chop.

Rice:
2 cups of instant rice (Cook)
Add 2 tbls of butter
palm full of chopped cilantro
Squeeze one large lime

Mix all together.

Corn Salsa:
1 can of corn
roasted red pepper to taste
1/4 cup of red onion
palm full of cilantro chopped
juice of one lime
salt and pepper to taste

Mix together.

Guacamole:
2 avocados
2 cloves of garlic chopped
1/4 cup red onion
palm full of cilantro
1 tsp of garlic
1 tomato chopped
1 tsp of sour cream

Okay. The building of the burrito ...

Take one very large ginormous size burrito tortilla. Heat up.
Add good amount of rice.
Add chicken
Add warm black beans
Add corn salsa
Add guacamole
Add sour cream
Add mozzarella cheese
Add tiny bit of lettuce

Wrap that hummer of all burritos up. And EAT THAT BEAST!

YummO. Enjoy!

To Retire? Or NOT to Retire?

Pants, that is.

They are my Yoga pants. Also known as ... don't-do-yoga-sit-around-on-your-lazy-duff-watching-TV-pants. *That's the official name PS. I got them at Target*

AnywhoOOoville.

The last FOUR ... count them. FOUR times I have worn them, Lynea has decided it was a good idea to pee on me. No lie.

The first time, Brian put her diaper on crooked and she leaked out. *I'm not positive it WAS indeed Brian, but I can't imagine myself doing that, so I like to think it WAS him...

The second and third time was right out of the bath, as I am lotioning her.

And lastly, TODAY. As I am feeding her, something awfully warm and very familiar feeling seeped onto my leg. And since I am pretty sure it wasn't me ... I knew it was Lynn ... once again ... feeling the need to tinkle on my pants.

Now, is it time to retire my comfy fat pants? *cough* I mean... *cough* YOGA pants?

... 'Cause frankly. It's not something I want to test my theory on. IfyaknowwhatImean. *I no likey getting pee'd on*

Would you like fries with that?

Ugh. Do you ever get into the same routine ... TOO routine? I sometimes feel like my life is one big episode playing a rerun over and over again.
Which for the most part, I don't mind. Keeps my day flowing.

Get the kids up ... get 'em off to school.
Wake the other two.
Make breakfast.
Feed baby.
CLEAN
Do baths.
Play with kids.
CLEAN.
Feed baby.
Watch a little TV ... catch up on my reality TV and Days. ... What? Mama's got her weaknesses too.
CLEAN.
Feed the baby.
CLEAN.
Feed the baby....

*Takes a deep breath*

Anyhoodle.

I feel like it the routine has seeped into my cooking habits. Rendering them BORING!!!

And the worst part is? I can't for the life of me think of new recipes. I sat here today with a piece of paper and pen in hand ready to make a fabulous grocery list ...

And I couldn't think of any new recipes. Not one.

Derrrr!

Seriously? What was the point of me watching Martha Sterwart all these years. Was it really just to make fun of her? *Do'oh!*

So? What did YOU make for dinner?

Washer 1 - Daddy 0

Lately ... I don't know WHAT started it. But, BJ has been afraid of the washing machine. I mean, he won't even go NEAR it without someone being right next to him. It's the oddest thing. Seeing as before this, he LOVED helping with laundry. Like I said. I don't know what triggered it. I just know now, I lost my cheap labor helper. Haha. Kidding.

Anywho. Onto Brian's BRILLIANT plan to teach BJ NOT to be afraid of the washer.

He takes BJ into the room, tells him there is nothing to be afraid of ... the washer won't hurt you. **OK. So far so good ...**

Think he stops there? NO. Why? A'cause he's a MAN...

Then he proceeds to beat up the washer. Yeah. It's true. You can't make this stuff up.

Kicks it, slaps it around. Gives it a good punch. **BJ is laughing hysterically**

Think he stops at that? Seriously. Do you even need me to answer that? Didn't think so.

He then decided to give it one last knock out punch to really seal the deal.

Gets ready ... goes for it... and ....

~**~* BAM *~**~

Hand slips off, and bashes his forearm ... all the mean while trying to keep a straight face and not scream ... after all... The washer won't hurt you right?

Ahem.

The result? Daddy has a HUGE bruise on his forearm, all because he didn't listen to his four year old warning him, the washer is gonna hurt you!

So. Next time you see Brian. Go ahead and ask him what that bruise on his arm is from, and don't believe him when he tells you it's from me hitting him in my sleep .... .. ...

*

Or WAS IT? ... Muahahaha.

Slide show

I decided I would send some PICs down to Brian's Mom and update her on the past 5 months. And what better way to do it, then a slide show.

So, I thought I would share here too.

Introducing Me. Unique, just like everyone else.

I’m a stay at home Mama, slowly losing my mind and loving every minute of it.

My life is nowhere near perfect. My family and I have recently moved, leaving most our friends and family behind...
I’m behind on laundry
Love the smell of pumping gas
Run into money problems
Know all the words to Hannah Montana songs
Burn the occasional dinner
Dealing with a preteen that thinks he knows more than I do
Addicted to reality TV
LOVE 80’s music
Trying to get my prebaby body back, which feels like a war I will never win
Am still insanely in love with my husband!

Take me as I am
