Ugh. Do you ever get into the same routine ... TOO routine? I sometimes feel like my life is one big episode playing a rerun over and over again.
Which for the most part, I don't mind. Keeps my day flowing.
Get the kids up ... get 'em off to school.
Wake the other two.
Make breakfast.
Feed baby.
CLEAN
Do baths.
Play with kids.
CLEAN.
Feed baby.
Watch a little TV ... catch up on my reality TV and Days. ... What? Mama's got her weaknesses too.
CLEAN.
Feed the baby.
CLEAN.
Feed the baby....
*Takes a deep breath*
Anyhoodle.
I feel like it the routine has seeped into my cooking habits. Rendering them BORING!!!
And the worst part is? I can't for the life of me think of new recipes. I sat here today with a piece of paper and pen in hand ready to make a fabulous grocery list ...
And I couldn't think of any new recipes. Not one.
Derrrr!
Seriously? What was the point of me watching Martha Sterwart all these years. Was it really just to make fun of her? *Do'oh!*
So? What did YOU make for dinner?

Hmmm...good question. Tonight will probably just be grilled cheese due to lack of groceries in the house (Aaron's stopping on his way home!). But typically something chicken, or ground turkey.
One of my new favorite (and Avery's too!) is to use Kraft Toasted Seasame salad dressing as a marinade on chicken and then cook it up like stir fry with veggies, some cashews and then put it over rice *or spaghetti noodles!* (using the dressing as a sauce while cooking too). SOOOOO yummy! :P
And for the record, you clean WAY more than any other person I know (except Malieka, but I think she secretly has an addiction to Pine Sol! lol)! :)
Why do I not know her? I am addicted to Pine Sol too. The lemon. Oooh. They were thinking of ME when they invented it. I know they were.
PS, I don't really DEEP clean that much, but with a 4 year old, I am ALWAYS cleaning up all his little messes.
That dinner sounds fabulous. I'm gonna try it.
Tonight, I made pot pies, and used pie crust for the top. Should be nice and flaky. We'll see...
When I get in a slump, I go to a site called cooks.com, I have found several great recipes there!
